Scenic drive, not a hike. The northern 1/3 is the best part. Be careful for cars and pedestrians on twisted road.
Beautiful windy scenic road! Green in the hills with late winter rains. I’ll give it a bike ride in the coming months
this is just a road to drive on. it is pretty, but hard to look at the scenery as the road is very narrow in parts and you really have to concentrate while driving. there is also no place to hike as I wouldn't risk walking alongside the road as people tend to drive to fast and they wouldn't see you when coming around the curves.
Beautiful drive thru Canyon, then over mountain, then down a valley to the 166. On one end is some nice vineyards on Foxen Valley Road. Saw some mountain bikers enjoying the route as well. Miles in the road narrows quite a bit and two traffic is hazardous. Not too many places to turn around safely. Going up there are numerous amazing bluffs that have trees that are also amazing...along with tiny mini-valleys. Off season, few come this way.
This is a beautiful drive! Right next to the national park so there are some cool views, plus the canyon is very secluded
